We want to share with you a letter that Moacir, the 16 year old from Nicaragua, wrote a little while back. Moacir has a scholarship at Harmon Hall English School. He is now in level 5 but had not yet learned the ´ing´ on verbs.

FEBRUARY 2005
For teach(ing) me that love
Is something else than a word.
For teach(ing) me that love is a feeling,
That (we) be born with the truth, the trust and the decency.
Because here, I have learned, the worth of a family.
Because here, there is love for everyone.
And, for teach(ing) me that everyone is important,
Without matter the situation.

For give(ing) us a house when we needed it.
For be(ing) our parents and for give(ing) us love.
For teach(ing) me that here we are equals.
For give(ing) us opportunities.
For teach(ing) me to have faith and hope.
For teach(ing) me that anything is possible,
With just believe(ing).
For instruct(ing) me in the way of God.
Because you have helped us,
When we needed it.
Because you are the super parents,

For this and more.

THANKS DAD AND MUM

With love, Moacir
