Education Fund
All of our children attend school, an opportuntity they would not have had were they not living with us. They all love it and it is wonderful to see them progress so well.

As you can imagine it is very costly for us to send 34 children to school and so Mision Mexico has established an Education Fund to support the children’s education. The funds contributed are retained until the opportunity to utilize them for educational purposes arises. Funds will be used solely for the purpose of their education including tuition, books, school supplies, uniforms, shoes, training, or other education-related expenses.
A breakdown of the approximate costs for the items required for each of the 34 children for a school year is below.

School books & materials $25.00
Uniforms (shorts, shirts, trousers, socks, dresses) $40.00
Shoes (school & gym/tennis shoes) $25.00 per pair
School bags $15.00

We ask that you contribute whatever you can to enable the children to get the education they deserve and give them a chance to succeed in life. There is no set donation required, nor is there a donation schedule.

Regular updates about the children and their education are provided in the monthly newsletter. If you are not already on the mailing list but would like to be, please let us know. The newsletter is also published here on our website along with photographs of the children.

Child Sponsorship
A number of our children attend fee paying schools therefore in addition to the usual items required for school i.e. uniforms, shoes, books etc, monthly payments need to be made during the school year.  These payments differ depending on the school. Eight of the older children attend an open learning school so that they are able to catch up to their correct level in the education system.

Three of our youngest kids attend kindergarten; it is the law here that all children attend kindergarten for three years before moving into primary school.  To enrol the children in school we need to have birth certificates which not all of our children have when they come to us. The school where the children  attend are a little more flexible and very patient in waiting for these papers and, this is also the school where five of the older children are enrolled on scholarships. The school curriculum includes English lessons, giving the children an opportunity to further prepare them for their futures.
The fees to send the children to school are as follows:

• Open learning school for the older children costs $40.00 US per month
• Private kindergarten $108.00 US per month and $200 US enrolment fee

If you are interested in sponsoring one of our children to attend school please email us at info@lovelifehope.com indicating whether it is a child attending open learning or kindergarten you wish to sponsor. If you are unable to pay the entire amount for the sponsorship but wish to contribute to the overall fees please let us know.

As a sponsor you will receive letters from, and photos of, the children by email.
